Sculpture of a young man
A thin flattened statuette of medium size, hands are folded on the stomach, the front part is rather elongated, narrow; knees and buttocks are well highlighted; the head is broken off. In the front of the figure, traces of a blue pigment were found in the area of the right arm and right knee and leg, as well as in the groin area.
Manufacturing technique
The surface of the figurine is made with a planning knife and a burin; details (hands, calves, legs, popliteal cavities) are marked with a planning knife; the shoulders and torso from the clavicle are contoured with a burin, while the burin also divided the feet and corrected the zones separating the arms from the torso; traces of a burin work were recorded on the chest and back; It is likely that during the shaping of the item only the knife was used, which performed various functions (as a burin, a cutting tool, a push-plane, a planning knife).
Use-wear traces
All the convex parts, including the base and the fracture zone in the neck, are covered with intensive polishing (the item was probably kept for a long time in the bag).
