Ivory beads

Ivory beads (25 items). In the context of the child's burial, the beads were located orderly and were a part of a necklace. There are traces of sewing on some of them.

We can distiguish three groups of the beads:

1. convex on one side and flat on the other one, 5 pcs;

2. both sides are slightly convex, the drilling is similar, no traces of sewing and polishing, 8 pcs;

3. both sides are flat and have traces of polishing, the drilling is similar, no traces of sewing. On the inner side of the drilling channels, there is a light polishing (these are beads-pendants), 12 pcs.

Manufacturing technique

The drilling is made with a high quality, is close to the bow drilling (more than 180 g). The profile of the hole is cylindrical, even. On some single items, there is a flaring from the convex side.

On the flat side of the №3 type items, there are traces of grinding and polishing on a soft surface.

Use-wear traces

On the convex side of the №1 type items, there are traces (indentations), channels formed of sewing the items to the surface. On the sewing side, the surface is polished, the edges are smoothed. The opposite side is flat, the edges are sharp; there are no traces of polishing.
