Figurine of a woman with the "Spanish rose" hairdo

A female figurine with high relief, well-profiled face and high chin ("mother-in-law"). The chest, thighs and spiral-shaped hairdo in the left part of the head are highleghted with deep relief. Some traces of blue-black paint are found on the face and hair.

Manufacturing technique

There are some traces of a burin treatment on the face, chest and shoulders. The contours of the legs and the hands are made with a cutting tool. Hair and spiral-shaped hairdo were made with a burin and a reamer (lines and "cupulas"). The face area is divided from hairline with a cutting tool. The mouth and the eyes are made with a cutting tool, but nostrils are made with a burin. There are some cutting marks on the face. Also we can see bracelets on shoulders.

Use-wear traces

Traces of polishing (a contact with soft material) are found in the face area. On the left chest, pollishing is more intensive than on the right one.
