Ornamented rod

A slightly bent ivory rod with transverse, obliquely located, thin cuts (closed and not closed). Lines are uneven; both tips are broken off. The item is partially restored.



Manufacturing technique

The surface of the item is made with a push-plane, there are longitudinal scratches; the ornament is made with a knife in one direction.


Use-wear traces

Use-wear traces are evenly over the entire surface, at the tips there is a large smoothing that overlaps the ornament (about 1/4 of the item).
