Rabot (push-plane)

The item is a composite tool with an antler handle and a stone blade. The stone part of the tool is considered to be a carinated end-scrape. Its working edge is a convex working blade. The handle is made of antler and slightly bent in profile. 



Manufacturing technique

The handle is made with fragmenting and cutting the antler. The base of the handle was sawn through. The stone blade which has some breaks is inserted in sawn part. 


Use-wear traces

The item is defined as a rabot (a push-plane) due to the features of working edge use-wear.
