Flying bird

This is a small image of a flying waterfowl. Its length is almost two times less than "typical" figurines. The item has elongated proportions and not deep relief. The figurine also has cone-shaped head and trapezoidal wings. In the semi-oval tail part there is a hole.  



Manufacturing technique

A push-plane was used for shaping the relief of the figurine. The legs from the back side of the figurine was made with a cutting tool, but it hasn't left notable traces. There is an indentation in place of the right eye, but on the left side it is more faded. The spaping of superciliary arch was made with a burin. Drilling with a reamer was made from both sides, but it hadn't been completed.
