Small ivory disc with a hole ("button")

A small sub-square disc with a through-hole. The item has a curved shape. The surface is covered with a zigzag ornament in seven continuous lines at the front side. It was interpretated as a "button" (M.M. Gerasimov).



Manufacturing technique

The shape of the blank is a small flake. Along the edges, there are traces of grinding. Elements of the ornament were made with a burin on the softened ivory. In the center of the plate, there is a through-hole made with a reamer.

Use-wear traces are not found.
